MADNESS ’09
Q: When can I make my picks?
A: The field is announced on Sunday, March 15 beginning at 5:00 PM Central. Shortly after, we will update the app to include all the teams at which time you can begin making your picks.
Q: What about the “Play-in Game”?
A: The opening round or “Play-in” game is not a pick requirement and not included in the bracket.
Q: I want to challenge my friends. How can I create my own pool?
A: Create a new pool in the app. Set scoring values for each round then simply click the “Invite Player…” button on the pool screen. Use your contact list to send email invitations. Up to 20 players may be included in your pool.
Q: When can I begin inviting players to my pool?
A: As a pool manager, you may send invitations at anytime prior to the deadline (Thursday, 3/19, 11:00 AM Central). Once the tournament begins, you can no longer invite players to your pool.
Q: What scoring options can my pool have?
A: Standard scoring - Pool managers can set point values (1-999) for each correct pick in any given scoring round. Each successive round of the tournament (6 Scoring Rounds total) generally awards a higher number of points for each game picked correctly.
Q: When is the deadline?
A: Thursday, March 19th, at 11:00 AM CT. All pool invitations and brackets will lock at this time.

A: Yes. Madness '09 is intended to track multiple pools. You can quickly enter your picks with our easy-to-use bracket interface. Please note all pools with multiple entries will lock once the tournament begins. Any pools with only a single entry can be used for tracking purposes and will remain unlocked.
Q: I’ve been invited to join a pool. How do I enter?
A: From the "Invites" screen select an invitation. Press the "Join" button and your entry in the pool will be created. Remember, pool invitations MUST be sent to the email address associated with your Madness '09 account or they will not appear on the "Invites" screen.
Q: Can I have more than one entry in a pool?
A: No. Only one entry per person is allowed in any given pool.

Q: Can I see other players’ brackets and picks?
A: Once the tournament begins, everyone’s picks will be available for everyone in the pool to view.
Q: How does the Tie-breaker work?

2) Total points scored in Scoring Round 6
3) Total points scored in Scoring Round 5
4) Total points scored in Scoring Round 4
